The variable speed Mac diskettes, startup sounds of various machines, etc. 

Don’t forget the sound of a paper jam (esp when a dot matrix head crunches into it)… or better, if you could get a band printer to burst into flames (enough X’s and it would create enough paper dust and heat….)
