Funny you should mention this.
I was reviewing the recording of the meeting of the Internet Society
Foundation which was impressively published immediately after the end of
the call on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnsOkds-Ogs
At 4:30 Andrew Sullivan, standing in to deliver the Managing Director's
report (until this position is filled), explained that Fonteva, because
it is based on SalesForce is being developed as a Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) Tool which is being built behind the scenes with a
dashboard being turned on in Q2, "...which will make things somehow easier".
I wonder if the idea was to have a CRM System for the Internet Society
Foundation to administer grants and being able to scale up. I have read
that one of the biggest drawbacks of Fluxx Grantseeker is that it
doesn't provide users the ability to find or view active RFPs. This
means that organizations might have to invest in additional grant
prospecting tools to research and find active funding opportunities.
Since the Internet Society Foundation is actively searching for funding
opportunities, it would make sense to implement a CRM system for this.
But then comes the question: was the first aim to get a CRM system for
the Internet Society Foundation and the side add-on to have a
replacement for the AMS, or the other way around?
Kindest regards,
Olivier
