This is to announce that the amendments to the Chapter Advisory Council (ChAC) Charter have been approved by 83 chapters during a ChAC meeting held today, 22 December 2020. The final tally was 83 in favor and 2 abstentions.  The total number in favor was more than the 2/3 (76 out of 114 Chapters) majority required. The next step in the process is to send these results to the ISOC Board of Trustees (BoT) for its final approval.

I would like to thank the ChAC Steering Committee (ChAC-SC) members which in unison put a lot of effort behind this. A token of much appreciation to German Fajardo (Colombia Chapter), Pierre-Jean Darres (Canada Québec Chapter) and Nabil Bukhalid (Lebanon Chapter) for the many hours that they put into preparing the proposed changes.

Finally, I want to take this opportunity to say goodbye to everyone. I have chaired the ChAC-SC for the past two years and it has been a very rewarding experience. Now is time for others to continue this important work.
