[Chapter-delegates] NEWS: 83 ISOC ChAC Delegates approved the proposed amendments to the ChAC Charter today

This is to announce that the amendments to the Chapter Advisory Council
(ChAC) Charter have been approved by 83 chapters during a ChAC meeting held
today, 22 December 2020. The final tally was 83 in favor and 2
abstentions.  The total number in favor was more than the 2/3 (76 out of
114 Chapters) majority required. You can watch the proceedings HERE

The next step in the process is to send these results to the ISOC Board of
Trustees (BoT) for its final approval.



I would like to thank the ChAC Steering Committee (ChAC-SC) members which
in unison put a lot of effort behind this. A token of much appreciation to
German Fajardo (Colombia Chapter), Pierre-Jean Darres (Canada Québec
Chapter) and Nabil Bukhalid (Lebanon Chapter) for the many hours that they
put into preparing the proposed changes.



Finally, I want to take this opportunity to say goodbye to everyone. I have
chaired the ChAC-SC for the past two years and it has been a very rewarding
experience. Now is time for others to continue this important work.
