*and now in English...*
In my 15 years of active ISOC participation, I have seen our community grow
and change. One of those changes was the creation of the ChAC, a positive
step to stimulate and facilitate communication and collaboration between
Chapters, Trustees, ISOC staff, and other members of the ISOC community.
Through my experience serving on Internet-focused nonprofit boards,
committees and councils, I have gained insight and a deep understanding of
the many challenges and opportunities that organizations, such as ISOC,
grapple with on an ongoing basis.
I will use my experience and knowledge of ISOC to support the ChAC
objectives by articulating and putting forward the aspirations, issues and
concerns of the chapters in the region (and for that matter, in all
regions). Chapter funding, enhanced bottom-up participation, expanding
outreach and member mobilization are a priority. Policy issues such as
network neutrality, Human Rights, privacy and trust must also be addressed.
I am not afraid to voice opinions and challenge the status quo, with both
assertiveness and respect. I bring a common a sense approach to problem
solving and I follow a set of values.
I believe I can make significant contributions to the chapters through the
ChAC. I will serve the members with dependability, integrity, and
distinction to build an even more effective and unified voice for the
chapters.
