I'm Carlos Vera from Isoc Ecuador. From 1996 we founded the Internet users
association of Ecuador, that soon in 2000 becomes the ISOC's Ecuadorian
Chapter and from that time we act globally on this community.

All those of us who play an active role in a chapter, understand the
involved challenges and have the same kind of needs and problems working
individually, in our region and globally. I'm part of a team now and hope
to continue being so, with the chapters, if I can get the preference to
work in the ChAC of ISOC.

I run for this election because we believe in teams, we act like one and
would like to reinforce the chapters team inside of the ChAC, for that we
need people that understand chapters, their needs and how we think and act.

>From this perspective, I will work with substantive and relevant proposals
to make Internet for everyone, with the active participation and presence
of Chapters.

Please consider voting for me in the next election of a member of the ChAC
of ISOC: I'll continue doing my best for this community of chapters, with
real commitment for project autonomy and economic support, with the
chapters as protagonists, as it must be.

I propose to put more emphasis on chapters presence and participation in
the decision making process and orientation of the Internet Society.

We can do it together, It's chapters time. Please think about that.

Expresion de Interes (SOI) de Carlos Vera de Ecuador

Soy Carlos Vera de Isoc Ecuador. A partir de 1996 fundamos la asociación de
usuarios de Internet del Ecuador, que luego desde el 2000 se convierte en
el Capítulo Ecuatoriano de la ISOC y desde entonces participamos
globalmente en esta comunidad.

Todos los que juegan un papel activo en un capítulo, entendemos los
desafíos que esto implica y tenemos el mismo tipo de necesidades y
problemas de trabajo individualmente, en nuestra región y en el mundo. Soy
parte de un equipo ahora y espero seguirlo siendo, con los capítulos, de
contar con su preferencia para trabajar en el ChACac de la ISOC.

Participo en esta elección porque creemos en los equipos, actúamos como uno
y estamos empeñados en reforzar el equipo de capítulos dentro de ChAC, para
ello necesitamos personas que entiendan el interior de los capítulos, sus
necesidades y nuestra forma de pensar y actuar.

Desde esta perspectiva, voy a trabajar con propuestas de fondo y
pertinentes para hacer efectivo el lema de Internet es para todos, con
participación y presencia activa de los capítulos.

Por favor apoyen esta propuesta con su voto en la próxima elección de un
miembro del ChAC de ISOC: Voy a seguir haciendo todo lo posible por esta
comunidad de capítulos, con el compromiso real por la autonomía de
proyectos y apoyo económico para los mismos, con los capítulos como
protagonistas, como debe ser ser.

Propongo poner más énfasis en la presencia y participación de los capítulos
en el proceso de toma de decisiones y la orientación de la Internet Society.

Podemos hacerlo juntos, es la hora de los capítulos. Por favor, piensen en
eso.
