[Chapter-delegates] Upcoming election for replacement of ChAC Steering Committee member

To the Chapter Delegates

As you are aware from the message of Joyce Dogniez, ISOC Staff, on 22
Jul 2016, due to the election of Olga Cavalli to the ISOC Board of
Trustees, the Chapter Advisory Council needs to elect a new LAC
representative to the Steering Committee.  The procedure is based on the
ChAC charter, specifically:


*9. Resignations and replacements***

If a member of the AC Steering Committee resigns (or is deemed to have
resigned), then the Chair will invite the ISOC staff that supports the
AC to organize nomination and election of a replacement member. The
nomination and election process will be the same as that used for
elections of the entire Steering Committee, except that the number of
people elected will be smaller. The replacement member will serve the
same term as the member that is replaced.


We have received two nominations:

Eduardo Díaz Rivera

Carlos Vera

	

Ecuador

 


These have been validated as both being qualified by virtue of being
members of the ChAC and from the region.

Assuming that they both accept the nomination, they are invited to make
statements on this list to that effect listing their reasons for wishing
to serve and what they would like to achieve in completing Olga's term.

 

The onlist discussion will be open until 9 august, with balloting
scheduled to begin on 10 August.

 

All chapters should make sure you have a Delegate appointed to the
