Dear All
We suggest to include some points
for ISOC HQ
- Has the compromise to support the national presence of local chapters in
their territory in any of the following ways
a. Promoting and developing at least one yearly activity in the local
chapter territory, related with ISOC mission with a dedicated and fixed
budget
b. Supporting the fund raising activities of the local chapter,
specially with international donors
c. Mentioning and working with local chapters when an activity will take
place in their territory
d. Redirecting to local chapter any interest of potential members or
institutions inside the local chapter's territory
e. Assigning a territory manager or similar to coordinate and support
several chapters according ISOC territory division
- Has the compromise of to motivate the discussion and participation on ISOC
Chapters on Internet related issues that can be adopted as policies for
ISOC. No policies will be adopted by ISOC without a discussion process that
includes local chapters participation.
For Local Chapters
- Once a policy is adopted, after a discussion process, is mandatory to
promote and support it unless it is against local laws.
- To promote and participate on Internet related discussion process inside
ISOC
- To make a yearly report for ISOC community

> Dear all: I see here two main situations
>>
>> 1. To work on the translation or in the grammatical side of the agreement.
>> i.e. that verbs and articles and gender are all consistent.
>>
>> 2. To work on the content of the agreement not only in the grammatical
>> side.
>>
>> Please let me know which one or if both points is what we have to review.

>> Dear Colleagues,
>>
>> The purpose of the Affiliation Agreement is to provide a clear framework
>> for the exchange of value between ISOC HQ and the ISOC Chapters, where none
>> exists today. It defines a set of minimum standards to be considered an
>> 'active' Chapter, and describes the support and resources available from
>> ISOC HQ to help achieve that minimum. The emphasis is on helping each other
>> to succeed in collectively advancing the ISOC mission.
>>
>> TRANSLATIONS
>> The French and Spanish translations of the 2nd version of the draft

>>
>> HELP NEEDED
>> In the interests of getting these translations to you as quickly as

>> in the translations, please let us know by emailing <

>>
>> TIMELINE
>> The deadline for feedback has, by request, been extended to 29th October
>> 2010. All feedback will be considered and collated for the Chapter
