Just in case there as any confusion, the experimentation I was referring 
to was in-the-lab human UX testing, not data comm-related testing. 
That is pure user interface activity variations.

Obviously the datacomm work could be in the service of better UX, but 
it's more focussed (and more predictable for this group to talk about.)
