CALL FOR PAPERS On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the ACM, the
April or May 2007 issue of /Communications of the ACM/ will be devoted
to articles on the history of the organization, its activities, and its
role in the development of computing. The editors are particularly
interested in papers from historians of computing. Articles should be
about 3000 words in length and should be submitted to David S. Wise
(dswise at cs.indiana.edu) by 16 May 2006. Authors will be notified of a
preliminary decision in October 2006 and will have until December 15 to
submit a revised version for final consideration.
