Dear Alphonce, Dear Colleagues,

I would like to express my strong support for *Alphonce Odhiambo’s
candidacy for the ChAC Steering Committee 2027*.

I have had the opportunity to follow and appreciate several initiatives
carried out under his leadership as President of the Internet Society Kenya
Chapter, particularly Designing & Deploying Computer Networks*, *Building
Wireless Community Networks*, *and Community Network Readiness Assessment,
including efforts to empower community members to become Internet Society
trainers themselves.

On a more personal note, *in October 2025, I had the privilege of
participating in a training programme organized by the Internet Society
Foundation in Kenya*. I believe it is no coincidence that such an
initiative found a welcoming environment within the Internet Society Kenya
Chapter community. It reflects the culture of engagement, collaboration,
and capacity building that I have come to associate with the Chapter.

What I particularly appreciate about Alphonce is his genuine commitment to
knowledge sharing, capacity building, and empowering others to become
knowledge multipliers.

For me, this is what meaningful leadership is all about: not only leading
initiatives, but also creating opportunities for others to learn, grow, and
contribute to our collective mission.

His approach reflects the spirit of the Internet Society and reminds us
that the true value of leadership lies not only in what we accomplish
ourselves, but also in what we enable others to achieve.

At a time when our Chapters need stronger collaboration, greater inclusion,
and more opportunities to learn from one another, I believe this experience
and commitment are particularly valuable.

I am therefore very pleased to support Alphonce's candidacy and warmly
encourage fellow Chapter delegates to join me in supporting and voting for
him in the upcoming ChAC Steering Committee elections.

Wishing you every success, Alphonce!

Warm regards,

*Karim Attoumani Mohamed*
Vice-President, Internet Society Comoros Chapter
