[Chapter-delegates] Clarification from inSIG Consortium

Hi Amrita,

 Thanks for writing a detailed mail, since you have taken your precious
time to compose these lines, so I think it's important for me to reply
these points with my own clarification

I am happy to share that the ISOC Bengaluru chapter has finally reached me
and accepted my resignation, they don't want me to discuss this issue
further as they might take it utmost seriously on speaking the truth.

Please try to understand that I am not dragging the name of inSIG but I
failed to understand how inSIG works.


   1. As InSIG is an independent event, but the main organizer was the
   Bengaluru chapter this time, since you mentioned that inSIG has its own
   rules, can you please share a link as a reference so that we can read these
   inSIG rules.
   2. I can understand that inSIG is a closed event, that is the reason I
   also already applied through a proper procedure, may I know on what basis
   my application got rejected or at least what is the criteria or procedure
   you follow to select attendees.
   3. I have been an active member that is one of the reasons for me being
   elected as a VP; moreover, I have already conducted few events and always
   involved myself in discussions and planning towards this event.
   4. The main reason for electing someone as a chapter leader is because
   he has been actively engaged and deserves to be a part of the committee.
   5. Since you mentioned Dr Govind as an active member and not the chapter
   leader, then he should have been elected as a VP by the Bengaluru chapter
   members, but they thought that my contribution is more.
   6. While going through past inSIG events, I feel only few new faces are
   given a chance as there are some people who have managed to be a part of
   most of the previous events.
   7. Just to clarify, I didn't come at the last moment to be included as a
   speaker or an organizer for this event, it's being miscommunicated to you.
   Being a VP, when I came to know that I was not allowed to attend this event
   conducted by the Benguluru chapter, I gave them an option that they can use
   me as a speaker where I can deliver free talks. Otherwise, I have been a
   certified trainer for the last 10 years, being certified by Microsoft,
   EC-Council, NSD, so I never deliver free talks anywhere. Indirectly I am
   also being dis-serviced as I have always worked towards this event to get
   it organized successfully
   8. if a speaker has an experience and is willing to speak free in your
   future events(even if he is an elected member or a part of coordinating
   committee), please give him a chance it can save at least save you some
   funds especially if you have limited budget
   9. Since I was elected as a VP of ISOC India Bengaluru Chapter on the
   basis of being the most active member of the chapter, based on your logic I
   should have been the first person selected to be a part of inSIG 2024.


At last I feel quite disappointed because ISOC Bengaluru chapter feels that
I am damaging their reputation where they treat this with utmost
seriousness and inSIG thinks that I am dragging them unnecessarily in this
mailing list.

I didn't want to damage the reputation of the Bengaluru chapter or drag
inSIG in this, since I felt that there is some mis-management and the roles
are not properly defined due to which limited funds get misused.

This is my last email, wishing you all the best with your working towards
free internet and free speech

I am going to filter these mails and any reply will go to spam, as I have
already resigned from my position
