It seems they mostly rely on chapter membership and local fundraising (done=
by the volunteers), but maybe I'm not looking in the right place.
So any pointers to information prior to talking to them would be very helpf=
ul.
Also if you have a contact with them could you put us in touch?

That said ... the NY Chapter works closely with the local Wikimedia Chapter=
. The Wikimedia foundation has less money than ISOC - but gets funding from=
a large number of small donors - and does a far better job of Chapter supp=
ort than ISOC. They provide far more funding as well as long- term mentorin=
g of local activists.
I suggest we arrange a meeting between ISOC Chapter support and Wikimedia t=
o find out more.
