I fully agree with your analysis. Diversity is crucial for ensuring that there is an international set of inputs, that the Foundation not be American-centric. 

Requiring diversity is not some sort of “forced” policy.  It is a basic value.  I note the benefits of the ChAC’s having a group of members from the regions and three at-large.

On the other the assumptions expressed by some in this set of emails that somehow the Foundation being a US non-profit makes it incapable of fulfilling its purposes shows only that there is a lot of misinformation about what the restrictions are and the freedom it has to act internationally.
