   *What specific challenges including, but not restricted to technical and
   political challenges, do you expect the Internet to encounter during your
   tenure*

   We are facing huge challenge due to DNS abuse and the need to
   incorporate proactive measures
   -

   5G hype for IOT and the need for FCC and others to consider network
   slicing not just Net Neutrality
   -

   The aging population will encounter more digital exclusion facing the
   demands by the market and government and the need for age appropriate cyber
   skills training
   -

   Small Island States and emergent economies that are facing IT
   professional job loss due to lower costs from large IT giants which
   undercut the local economy
   -

   As mobile phones become the dominant device for Internet access we need
   to be proactive to balance the gender divide on Mobile and access ownership
   in emergent countries
   -

   The New gTLD new round:  is  around 1,189 and just one applicant has 240
   New gTLD it means 20% of the new program delegation this is a serious issue
   combined with the absence of applications from developing countries
   -

   The Multistakeholder model is at risk of being dominated by a very small
   number of vested interest parties which represent big business, government
   and academia  and missing is the voice of the people and their needs and
   wants
   -

   IDN and UA are important aspects driving the evolution of the Internet’s
   unique identifier systems as India and China will become more important
   players in the Internet
