*What skills and experience would you bring to the Board?**Response
Glenn McKnight*
A key experience is working as a functional and proactive ISOC board
member for the past three years. Our ISOC Board has been one of the most
successful boards in ISOC history which has seen tremendous workload for an
unpaid board. We needed to conduct the CEO search and hiring of the new
CEO. We needed to provide critical feedback on the ISOC Action Plan,
Provide stewardship over the new ISOC Foundation. We had to sheparded the
IETF new entity and lastly the PIR Ethos transaction . All of the work done
with professionalism and dexterity .
My direct skills have included support to staff and other board members in
sharing important developments in the Internet Governance and funding world
that ISOC isn't aware or actively involved. My blog
www.internetgovernancehub.blog and our Facebook page I-governance site has
huge following have been valuable resources to the community. Also as the
project manager of the North American School of Internet Governance and
volunteer with the SSIG and InSIG I have been advocate for sharing
invaluable information to the ISOC community directly at the events, ISOC
Skype chat and in person
In short I bring a wide wealth of experience and solid Internet Governance
knowledge essential for ISOC planning.
