Dear Wyn,

Thanks for your message. This reminder was sent to Chapter presidents and Chapter AMS Admins since we saw that many terms were about to expire and we wanted to ensure that the overall list of Chapter officers remains up to date as we move into the new year.

We totally agree though that more targeted notifications would be preferable and will look into this.

While the email blast is a useful reminder. i should point-out that our good old AMS system did send-out more than one reminder specifically directed to those chapter officers whose terms were about to expire. This simple, straightforward and useful feature was strangely enough omitted from the "new" MemberNova system.

I already alerted the AMS team to this months ago, but the email blast seems to indicate that this failure has not yet been fixed. Is this relatively simple fix going to cost ISOC HQ even more money (and time) to remedy?

We noticed that many Chapter officer positions (incl. Chapter AMS Administrators) have an end date around late December or early January.

This is a friendly reminder to check all Chapter officer terms (i.e. the end date of their position) in the Chapter Portal (AMS)<https://admin.internetsociety.org/622619/User/Login> and make necessary adjustments in case their actual term is longer. Chapter officers who’s position ended in the system won’t be able to access the Chapter information in the portal.
At the same time please also ensure that their Chapter memberships are also up-to-date.
