[Chapter-delegates] FYI - ISOC statement about on Internet blocking measures in Catalonia, Spain

I fully agree with Dave.
The study we did with Freedom house, three years ago in 12 countries in
the Far and Middle East and Mediterranean known to
not respect human rights and do interception and internet content
blocking we found that their
citizens with exception of Oman, Saudi Arabia and China do not trust at
all to their governments,
mobile internet service providers and different agencies that control
the market. They were well
aware about site blocking. (For more information you can read
about the study and why these three countries citizens have shown more
trust than others on the enclosed bellow
reference). Hijacking domain name services for taking over the TLD .cat
in an European country is a serious attack
to the human rights and the basic principles of running internet
service. Simply, it is unbearable.
