This is also something that we have been saying (Last mile = first mile really – from the community out) – in our training, discussions and in the spectrum paper re CNs!

This is a welcome development!

 

On a recent North America Chapters call we found that Canadian Chapters, and US Chapters both, have plans to mount regular Community Networks activities e.g. zoom calls etc in 2018. And I'd like to point out this recent op-ed here in NYC, indicative of a more general popular understanding that the 'last' mile can also be thought of as the 'first' mile. I also recommend the 'Community Network Success Story' presentation by Matt Rantanen at the recent Indigenous Connectivity Summit
