[Chapter-delegates] Creating a good momentum

Dear all:

In the last few days there have been interesting discussions in the chapter-delegates list. 
My colleagues in the staff, myself and the Board, have expressed a lot of openness in considering different ideas that have been mentioned in the discussions. 

We have now a new tool for catalyzing the participation of the chapters and for helping to synthesize the discussions. This is the Chapter Advisory Council and its Steering Committee. 

We have to find a balance between the resources the organization makes available for supporting the work of its chapters,  with the volunteer work that the chapters do by themselves in strengthening their organizations. 

Things are not as bad as sometime they seem to be and they are neither as good that they don’t need any improvement. There is always a lot work to do.

I feel we are working in the right direction, and this is also what i have heard from many of our chapters leaders from different parts of the world. I’m very optimistic with what we can achieve. We need now positiveness and  take advantage of the discussions for creating a good momentum.
