[Chapter-delegates] Role of chapters

Hi all.

I know there are some people reading this email, who are in a salaried position funded by ISOC. I would like to ask all of you, who fit this description, to reply with a single paragraph of no more than 5 sentences, outlining your personal understanding on the following three issues:

1. What is the role of chapters in ISOC?

2. What is the single most important thing that you expect chapters to do on a day-to-day basis?

3. How do you expect a chapter to finance this activity?

Hopefully this will shed more light into the dark tunnel we've collectively entered, yet again, on this mailing list.

At the end of this exercise, I might, time permitting, put together a table of who replied, how, and who didn't reply.

All those, who are not in a salaried position at ISOC and, therefore, are ineligible to partake, please withhold your comments until we've had half a dozen replies, at least.
