Thanks, Karen.
Immediately need to say, as I know that some folks are sensitive, and my
English is not so - I appreciate and highly value all of the ISOC
staffers, who are instrumental in what ISOC does.
However, I see no special need for us - chapter delegates - to promote
the survey, as it was sent to all 65000 members already. I am sure that
among them there are people, who have joined ISOC recently, and are not
aware of the fact that such exercises have been part of ISOC for the
last 10 years. I wouldn't be surprised, if some might remember of
similar campaigns and discussions, e.g. ISOC 2010, ISOC 2015, and now
ISOC 2020.
It is a little bit strange that ISOC as an organization is spending huge
resources trying to set up the strategy towards 2020 in the time, when
Lynn is leaving. It seems that you are not interested in hearing what
new views and ideas the candidates for President/CEO would have, as they
will inevitably be limited in responding to all questions, "We will do
whatever it says in the Strategy".
Best,
Veni
