Dear Sally,
Dear colleagues,

Yesterday I had a meeting with our Belgian Telecom Regulator and touched upon the topic ETNO, WCIT and ITU.
I can inform you that today the Belgian regulator did not take any position with regards the proposal of ETNO.

The pro's and contra's are still in discussion, we do not expect a clear and final statement before several weeks. Recently (July) there has been a huge modification in the telecom law in Belgium (84 pages) with many new and updates elements. The new law is a modification of the adaption made in 2003.

In the coming days we will summarize the most important changes and will comment where possible.

Kind regards,

Rudi Vansnick

>> ISOC Chapters have received many kudos from different quarters (ISOC's leadership, gov't, industry, other civil society groups) for the work you are doing on the ground to prepare for WCIT. A big thanks to all of you who have reported in and told us how you and your gov'ts are preparing. Many are finding this a useful tool as they get ready for WCIT.
