Dear all,
First I want to know where I explicitly expressed I was supporting CleanIT project ?
Furthermore I would really like to know what kind of harm I'm doing while participating in this project ? Which chapter can send me any information on what they had have as embarrassment so far ?
I'm participating in the discussions to defend the openness of the Internet, NOT to close it down !!! As we defend in many other cases and debates the openness I'm using the ability to bring forward the principles of good governance we in general apply in so many other dossiers. If I step out of the project I will no longer have the ability to argument against controlling and blocking the Internet just for the purpose of countering terrorism activities. I consider it an opportunity to stress this factor of fear of infringement of each and every ones freedom of expression and spread this message among the participants of this project.
Some thoughts : Don't we allow our providers to block SPAM, PHISHING etc emails ? Don't we use parental software to block content for the purpose of protecting our children from harmful content ?
I want you all to read the attached document from the United Nations "Use of Internet for Terrorist Purposes", especially "D. Rule-of-law considerations".
Always open for a fair debate.
Kind regards,
Rudi Vansnick

And trying to present it as position of colleagues of other European Chapters without any prior public discussion or consultation is below any standard of discussion and netiquette/tradition of Chapter-delegates list. And this is was my concern in my capacity as one of administrators of Chapter-Delegates list.
