[Chapter-delegates] Copyright working group

Dear all,

Last year, the Internet Society released a detailed discussion document entitled Perspectives on Policy Responses to Online Copyright Infringement - An Evolving Policy Landscape (available on our website at via Perspectives on policy response to online copyright infringement- http://tiny.cc/qpullw). This paper drew from the considerable expertise, experience and discussions within a pilot Internet Society group that was launched to investigate and examine emerging policy responses around the world. Please let us take this opportunity to again formally express our thanks to those volunteers for their strong commitment to the project, the many insightful observations and ideas they brought to the discussion, and their ongoing support of the Internet Society's mission.

Given the ever-changing environment of copyright regimes around the world, recent international initiatives and the various (legal, social and economic) challenges they pose, the Internet Society's Public Policy team considers it would be useful and timely to develop an update to this report. The Internet Society, with its diverse and multicultural membership, is in a unique position to produce an up-to-date comprehensive account of copyright policy across the world. To this end, we would like to invite all interested parties to participate in the discussions.
