I've wanted ISOC-NY to address this in terms of net-connected medical
equipment for some time. I spoke to the Software Freedom Law Center who
have been doing work on this as well as the head of the Occupation
Therapy student group here at the State University of New York Downstate
Medical Center. I need to follow up on this and make a date.
The solution in many cases is better security - although some military
and law enforcement systems are completely isolated - this was discussed
at INET Philly as you may recall.
