Thank you for your observation. 

We think it would be very confusing to change the rules at this point in the Membership Challenge, with just one day to go.

The possibility of a relative measure was actually discussed before the start of the Challenge and the current method of counting was agreed upon as the most straightforward given the complexity and diversity of the different circumstances and scope of Chapters. However we would be happy to receive your concrete suggestions in terms of a suitable measure for a potential future round of the Challenge.  There will definitely be more Challenges!

On the other hand, the good news for Chapter members is that each person has a similar chance of winning one of the prizes set out in the Individual Challenge, as the number of recruited members per category is very small and it is a lucky draw prize. See: http://www.isoc.org/memberchallenge
