Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to let you know that the Chapter Handbook is now
complete! Sincere thanks to all of you who helped with this work, in
particular, the chapter officers who contributed content and the
chapter handbook committee for their ongoing editorial review.
Translations into French and Spanish are underway and will be
completed very soon (hopefully in a week's time).

The handbook is available in sections (as well as one document) for
download at :

http://www.isoc.org/isoc/chapters/guidelines/

It will be available in html as soon as the new ISOC website is
launched (estimated to be June). Hard copy will also be
available. The handbook is a "living" document with updates
provided by Chapter delegates which will be collected and consolidated
periodically. Please send any updates to <chapter-support at isoc.org>.

This year, with help from Chapters, we plan to develop more resources
to assist Chapters in the work of creating and sustaining a vibrant
Chapter. We will be producing three "Toolkits". The "toolkits" will
provide detailed step-by-step 'how to' guides on specific topics. To
produce the "toolkits", we are dependent on your help once again,
both for contributing content and for editorial review. If you would
like to help us in this task, please send email to <chapter-support at isoc.org
 >.

Thank you once again for all your help with this project.

Best wishes,
Anne
