[Chapter-delegates] ISOC 2008 Chapter Review - Your feedback?

Dear all,
We are very excited and encouraged on see the Chapter review. It has been a
very interesting development publishing the chapters activities and making
them relevant in ISOC structure.
I agree with Veni and other when he stated that chapters are "equal".
Anyway this will push us to be more and more committed to achieve our goal.

Just an additional note to my below email. You might have noticed that this
is the first time that ISOC has issued an Annual Review devoted entirely to
Chapters!

You can download the "ISOC 2008 Chapter Review" (PDF: 1.8MB) here:

We hope that it serves as a great tool for all Chapter leaders interested in
demonstrating to members, potential partners, government representatives,
etc., the relevance of ISOC Chapters in their regions.

ISOC is currently planning the 2009 report publications. In order to
evaluate the effectiveness we would like to hear your feedback if this
Chapter Review is useful to you.

We would appreciate if you could send your comments and suggestions to ISOC
Chapter Support <chapter-support at isoc.org> by the end of October.

Anne,
I think you're missing the main point here:

Chapters want to be recognized as "equals", that's all.

We have been hearing for many years how things will change, and
cooperation will happen, and there's always something missing. The
fact that a Board Trustee didn't know about something relevant to the
chapters which elected him, alone, is not first case. Can we hope it
will be the last?

If the other chapter presidents think I'm correct, I hope they'll say
so. Or if I am mistaken - same thing.
