[Chapter-delegates] Responses to ISOC AMS Chapter Portal feedback

Hello everyone:

First, thanks to Rudi Vansnick, Veni Markovski, Olivier Crepin- 
Leblond, and all others that have written in with feedback on the new  
portal.  There were enough questions/comments logged by the chapter  
officer group via the Delegates list that I have started a spreadsheet  
for the various items.  Please see the attachment for the original  
question or comment, followed by the response (so far) from the AMS  
group.

There were some items brought up several times, so I will briefly  
answer them here:

1)  Performance.  This was flagged by several individuals, are we are  
looking into performance optimisation based on issues identified.

2)  "Deletion" of out-dated or incorrect members.  The new portal  
allows officers to remove anyone from their chapter - officers simply  
need to open the member's record, and then set the End Date field to a  
date earlier than today's date.  This allows us to keep a complete  
audit trail on that Member and the operations on his/her record.  You  
can set the date to reflect an actual timeframe (for instance, if you  
know the member left in 2004 then you can set that End Date to reflect  
that), or set it to a timeframe more than 60 days ago if the intention  
is to simply remove them from your chapter.

We know there was some inaccurate data in Q, and are looking forward  
to having accurate data moving forward from November 17th!

If it is someone that you feel should be eliminated and has no use to  
the ISOC organisation (such as an obvious spammer), then please flag  
it to our attention at ISOC Chapter Support (as usual) and we will  
purge it from the database.
