Good suggestion. We are past the deadline for proposing another
workshop, but as a MAG member (assuming I get re-appointed) I will do
my best to ensure we get those issues covered in the first main
session workshop.

We should be clearer about that. The workshop proposals we put in are
definitely focused on the positive rather than the defensive. The IXP
workshop last year had a useful outcome, and we will be building on it
this year. Similarly, the workshop on multilingualism is designed to
broaden how people look at that issue -- it is a lot more than IDNs.
To really have an inclusive Internet is going to be a huge challenge,
and we should start focusing on how to make that happen. I agree that
the first approach many took to IGF was defensive. I believe that is
changing in a significant number of cases, and I'm hopeful the
Hyderabad meeting will have a very positive tone.

right -- it's a challenge of holding these things in all the different
regions. Even the regions themselves are very large. I don't know if
you are aware but a few organizations have made money available to
fund travel to IGF. Most of the cash will be aiming to fund people
who are going to be active participants -- who are organizing or will
be speaking in the main or individual workshops. I will see what I
can do to get the IGF Secretariat to make this visible on their web
site. In the meantime, ISOC members who want to get assistance
getting to Hyderabad should be actively looking through the lists of
workshops and contacting organizers to get involved.

Good points -- I have passed these along
