Dear Bill,
Many thanks for your message. A few comments:
- I´m wondering whether ISOC should work on another proposal related to User
Centricity, and maybe being more specific, how bad regulations can undermine
the development of the net (Day 1, Reaching the next billion).
- ISOC should try to identify specific goals/desire outcomes for IGF. Up to
now, IMHO, our posture has been defense. Let´s engage with the Forum and try
to achieve some measurable goals.
- Reaching Hyderabad won´t be easy for anyone, but it doesn´t make any sense
to complain about it here, right?
- If ISOC is working on a call letter, application form, and guidelines for
the next Ambassador program, I would like to suggest: 1) Define the goal of
the program; 2) Communicate the desired profile of the Ambassadors and the
tasks they will be asked to perform; 3)If the budget is limited, and you
plan to recruit chapter members who are already going to Hyderabad, please
note that in the call letter; and 4) be so kind to inform applicants about
the selection using a reasonable timeframe (this include all applicants,
selected or not). I think this could be a major step forward.
I sincerely hope you find these comments useful.
Best regards,
Sebastian
