Dear Louis/Sivasubramanian,
All these discussions are very good but when you see the reality it is
not the case. Last year I remember that ISOC funded some participants
for INET African meeting which was held together with Afrinic Meeting
in Nigeria. I can say that the ISOC meeting we had was very fruitful
with lot of imput and participation from nearly 14 chapters.
This year the INET African meeting will take place in Morocco and no
support is being given to interested african chapter members to attend
and for example in our case that is ISOC Mauritius we wont be able to
attend.
I think that following the success of INET Africa in Nigeria, ISOC
African Bureau could have keep on this trend to bring more imputs and
positive discussions from African Chapters.
