Dear Colleagues,

input from Chapters in preparation for the next IGF consultation
meeting.
kind regards,
Anne

The secretariat of the Internet Governance Forum has asked for input
for its stock-taking exercise in mid-February:
“A stock-taking session open to all stakeholders will be held on 13
February 2007 at the Palais des Nations, United Nations Office in
Geneva (Room XX).Meeting hours: 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-18:00 hours.
The meeting will have interpretation into all UN languages and
benefit from real-time transcription. The aim of the meeting is to
take stock of the Athens meeting, assess what worked well and what
worked less well and make suggestions with regard to the preparation
of the meeting in Rio De Janeiro.” More info at: http://
www.intgovforum.org/index.htm.
I am in the process of pulling together a submission for ISOC and
would very much welcome any thoughts/suggestions from those of you
who have been involved in/following the Internet Governance Forum and
related matters. The Athens event worked well and we will be looking
to build on its success in Rio. For more info on ISOC’s
participation in Athens, see http://www.isoc.org/pubpolpillar/
athens.shtml.
Looking forward to your responses. Send email to <shears at isoc.org>.
Best,
Matthew
