Dear colleagues,
I  support Veni idea and it was also my idea from the first. It is 
better to have as Rosa said 3 letters or 2 letters domain name.
I think it is better to have a shorter domain name than a long one and 
this is for many reasons that all of you know already.
We can adopt the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 list for 2 letters and create an 
ISOC official list containing 3-letters abbreviation of all regions and 
town around the world.
Chapters will participate in the creation of this list. So regional or 
city chapter will take this 3-letter domain name.
The other question is : what we will do with domain name ?
- For those who have already a valuable domain name they can  preserve 
the old domain and point the new one to their domain .
- For those who dont have a domain name they will be happy to use this 
domain but here another question will be raised : did they have a space 
to host some pages ? did they have the right to point this sub-domain on 
another hosting server ? did they have the right to create mails account 
with this sub-domain ?
And here I think as Alejandro said it will be better to have a small 
work group to think about thoses questions.
