To make it clear.
I initiated a contact principally, as an individual separate from ISOC
HQ., I could informall feel them out and urge cooperation because
there are so many people in ISOC chapters and IETF people around
the world who would take very, very badly any attempt to hijack the
Internet Society name. I made that point personally, in my own name,
not speaking for ISOC.
After that, the ball is in your court and I will not contact them again.
Should they contact me, I will pass on the message with no response
from me.

Gene,
thanks. Although I have to admit to a bit of surprise that you would
initiate this without coordinating with us first. We are drafting a
note to them from the Geneva office and it would not be helpful for
them to receive multiple phone calls or contradictory messages.
We'll work it from here and update everyone when we have some news.
