Lynn, Gene and others
I have been "out of e-mail contact" for most of the last 2 days, and have
just picked up my mails (it is now 03h00 UK time). I did, however, speak
with Desiree yesterday evening (ie Wednesday) who alerted me to this
situation.
I would obviously also like to look into this matter from a "local"
perspective. I fully agree with Lynn that any approach should and must be
co-ordinated.
I do not know the people at Wessex, and this may be totally innocent.
Perhaps there might even be an opportunity to achieve a good outcome if
"THE Internet Society" (ie ISOC) were in some way officially to be able to
support such an event.
I shall again be out for most of Thursday (at a Board Meeting and dinner at
the University of Surrey), but will try to get e-mail access there. I am in
my office on Friday. Lynn - I am available on my mobile (+44 7768 517567)
if you would need to contact me on Thursday.
I am sure that with good teamwork, we can achieve the best outcome for ISOC
and the Internet stakeholders we represent.
With many thanks and good wishes.
Tricia
