Dear All. We receive the generous offer from Gene and decline it because as
I explain to Gene, we receive a huge amazing offer for free hosting from a
brother chapter.
Sometimes it's not only a matter of to have or not to have money. SOme
members of our chapter can also save some money and support the hosting. But
this is not the magic of international network cooperation.
Cooperation and being a real network is what we are looking for. Take
something from somebody and give something to somebody. I fully agree con
Gene, ISOC chapters preferible has to contract the service.. of course with
some extra functionalities ie. cgi, php-mysql, mambo support, pop accounts,
moodle support, and more... In the same way basic dial up internet
connection is no real internet connection (we need wide band) some basic
packages are not appropiatte and only put restrictions to the real work to
be done in chapters and ISOC.
