Hi Internet History members,

I apologize in advance that this has a tinge of commercialism, but is certainly internet history related.

I wrote RFC-1149 IP Over Avian Carriers and its QoS sequel RFC-2549.
In 2001, the Bergen Linux user group implemented RFC-1149 and gifted me one of the packets that they sent. I was not at the IETF meeting where they were going to present it to me (IIRC the 51st meeting, in London), so a coworker Mike Patton (IP-)redirected it back to me.

I am thinking of auctioning off the actual packet, perhaps via Christie's auction house, though would sell it privately if I thought the value was good.
(This is my kind of an "airwaves auction".)
Do you have any guess what it might be worth or who might be interested in this bit of internet history?

You can see the "roll marks" on the packet's paper still.

Thanks,
