FYI - Peter, aka PGN has passed away.

Very sad day indeed for many of us. Peter was a gentleman and a scholar.
His RISKS-L Forum was widely regarded as a high‑signal, expert‑driven,
and influential mailing list within the early Internet community, valued
for its rigorous analysis of computer‑related risks and its role in
shaping professional norms around safety, reliability, and responsible
system design. This was all due to PGN's rigorous moderation. Many will
miss him.

Heartfelt condolences to his family.

Olivier

Peter G. Neumann has died

Peter G. Neumann, renowned computer scientist, ARPANET/Internet
pioneer and expert on technology risks, working at SRI International
since 1971, has died at age 93. Peace. He has been my friend and
colleague for over half a century. He will be greatly missed.
