Also, if you only knew about namedroppers from its association with DNS working groups at the IETF, it was not only associated with that.  The final break happened in, IIRC, 2010, but the association was not very well formalized (which partly caused some of the sudden changes to the use of the list).  So, don't assume that reading that will also catch the relevant DNS WGs (in the unlikely event you did expect that).
