Hi Folks,

Way back on April 23, 1963 JCR Licklider sent a "MEMORANDUM FOR: Members and Affiliates of the Intergalactic Computer Network SUBJECT: Topics for Discussion at the Forthcoming Meeting"
Calling for a meeting on May 10th, in Palo Alto.
Lick's memo is generally considered the seed that grew into the Internet we all know & love.
It occurs to me to wonder: Did that meeting actually happen? If so, what transpired? And, was anybody on this list at the meeting?
(Reason for asking:) I'm using the letter, and what transpired, as a model for launching the next generation of Civic.Net & a "Civic Engineering Task Force" focused on rebuilding aging infrastructure - through something very much like the IETF process. (Also, the earlier example of the Boston Pamphlet and Committees of Correspondence.) As I start writing think pieces and my own version of a "MEMORANDUM FOR: Members and Affiliates of the Planetary Civic Internet" - I want to as true to actual history as possible.)

Thanks Folks,

Miles Fidelman
