IMO, it’s interesting that Larry Peterson wrote an article in the Systems Approach newsletter about how naming applies to web resources <https://systemsapproach.org/2026/05/18/sound-advice-from-the-white-knight/> around the same time as the discussion here on locator/identity separation a few weeks ago.  He mentioned Jerry Saltzer and John Shoch’s publications as well.  Perhaps he or Bruce Davie are on the list?
