BTW, in case anyone’s interested, there is some older manet (Mobile AdHoc Networks) wg email in https://www.ietf.org/ietf-ftp/ietf-mail-archive/manet/ dating back to November 1995.  Most of what’s available from mailarchive.ietf.org starts in March 2002.
