Sure.  So there are several different conversations to have.

For example...

Are people messaging each other less -- as opposed, for example, to 
interacting via a chat or voice channel?  Independent of actual numbers, 
it is clear messaging has remaining an essential portion of online contact.

Are people using Internet Mail technology & services less? For 
interpersonal interaction, almost certainly yes.  For business-related 
contact, probably uses, overall, but possibly no for specific segments.

And so on...
