I have long thought that SLACC would get an IPv6 device on the network 
so that it could function.  With it's (eventual) ability to specify a 
DNS server, basic client needs are mostly fulfilled.

Conversely DHCPv6 provides many more options on top of basic device 
functionality.

I feel like most networking type people value the former and may not 
even be aware of the latter.  Or if they are aware, they may disregard 
it as a workstation thing and not a network thing.
