I was doing conformance testing of both X.400 and X.500 in that time 
period and I definitely was using ISODE.  ISODE also had an FTAM 
implementation as well iirc. It was Marshal Rose who would have given me 
the first set of tapes I used back then.

Sun sold a different set of OSI products from a completely different 
lineage, French in origin.
