These days, mercury.lcs.mit.edu and ana-3.lcs.mit.edu are the same machine
(~jnc at each goes to different places in my home dir on that machine), so one
shouldn't be up and the other down - unless someone has broken something in a
config somewhere (which seems to happen on a semi-regular basis).

At the moment, they seem to both be up; if you notice one down, ding me.
