There is no existence proof for meaningful, end-user usable security at
scale for email.(*) Cert management and end-user UX design appear to be
the major barriers.
Truly distributdc admin and ops is much, much harder than centralized.

(*) No doubt some will argue that server credentials with TLS is an
exception, except that isn't and end-user function; end users aren't
part of any meaningful security detection or enforcement activity, lock
icons notwithstanding
