[ih] Early .Com Yearly Domain Counts

I'm doing research on yearly TLD domain counts, and can't seem to find any information for specific TLDs before 1998. For example, ZookNIC lumps them all together so you can only see total domain counts for each year (http://www.zooknic.com/Domains/counts.html).

Would anyone on this list happen to know where I'd be able to get yearly domain counts for specific TLDs? I'd be much obliged.
